The traditional wedding (on 12 March 2026) will take place at Mamie's home village of Kanye at her family residence 90 minutes' from Gaborone. It will be a traditional Tswana wedding (patlo/magadi).

The Wheelbarrow Nursery and Tea Garden, Crocodile Pools, where the white wedding / celebration will be held (on 14 March 2026) is located very close to Gaborone. There is a dam as well as a river and National Park (Mokolodi) nearby.

Gaborone is Botswana's capital city, with approximately 350,000 residents. Botswana is a safe country with friendly and helpful people. There are many things to explore in the country above and beyond the wedding, including the Okavango Delta, Chobe (near Victoria Falls) and Kgalagadi
